gallagher.
Biography.
GALLAGHER is an artist whose sets are defined by depth and groove. House music sits at the core of his sound, but his selections move fluidly across a wider spectrum. He selects from the raw soul and traditions of US house, particularly Chicago, and Detroit, through to left-field rhythms and heavier late-night textures.
He is the founder of Secret Society, a platform that has been circulating since 2019. What began as a long-running resident club night at The Waiting Room has evolved into a series of Cape Town-based events. He curates FOUR FOUR, Exercise, and Goshica, which are event projects dedicated to building South Africa’s electronic music ecosystem while spotlighting and pushing local talent.
GALLAGHER has performed for collectives including Champagne, Xylem, Hotboxed, Just Between Us, Hungry4, CTEMF, and Killer Robot, and has appeared at festivals and venues such as Future Frequency, All My Friends, Torte Bar, Modular, Pangea, Bazique, and Wolfkop. He has shared stages with artists including Zisko, Stojche, Axel Boman, and Ralph Lawson.
His sets are driven by connection, curiosity, and a deep love for the culture that surrounds the music.
